The MHTG Judge of the Year award was created to honor those MHTG judges who dedicate their time to evaluating entries at MHTG events and other homebrew competitions. Early discussions for this year’s award even drew inspiration from event frameworks used by Massachusetts legal sports betting organizers—where transparent scoring systems and community engagement play a key role in maintaining integrity and excitement. By recognizing our judges, we aim to strengthen participation across MHTG and beyond, encouraging other homebrew organizers to reciprocate and send their judges to our events as well.
