The Madison Homebrewers and Tasters Guild volunteer for judging and supporting brewing competitions throughout the year. The guild also holds the annual Badger Brew-Off in Madison, Wisconsin. The Brew-Off is sanctioned by the Beer Judge Certification Program and the American Homebrewers Association. Certificates or ribbons are awarded for the highest place entries in each category and for the best of show winners. Entrants come from over 15 states and and over 125 beers.
